Our Mission

Nine in every 1,000 babies is born with a heart defect or heart disease. Also, cardiovascular disease is the number two killer of children under the age of 15 in the United States.

Mended Little Hearts of Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago is a nonprofit organization that provides hope, caring and support to families who have children with heart defects and heart disease. Families are often devastated when a child is diagnosed with a heart defect, and Mended Little Hearts of Children's Memorial Hospital lets them know that they are not alone. We are in this together.  Membership is free, and there are no dues.

Mended Little Hearts of Children's Memorial Hospital is a chapter of Mended Little Hearts, a program of The Mended Hearts, Inc., which is affiliated with the American Heart Association.  Mended Little Hearts groups meet together to share experiences and emotions so that we can work toward healing. We also have educational speakers so members can understand how to best care for their child and the best treatment options available.

Mended Little Hearts of Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago meets on the third Wednesday of every month.  But check our front page or calendar because we sometimes change up dates.
